Projects

I start many projects big and small. Some I finish others I don’t. So to try and get myself to finish them I decided to put a blog together… This way I have to show the final product. It’s a good idea, let’s see if it works.

Snow Drops

The first flowers in our garden.

These have pushed their way up through the very unloved garden! Not long moved in during the winter months and the garden really hasn't been touched in a few years... so another project is coming up with this, although may have to wait till it’s a little bit warmer yet!

Buttons and Fabric

BUTTONS!!

These are all from my button tin that my Nana gave me... My grandad was a Policeman, so these must have been spares for his uniform.

So many different buttons.. i've tried to start to put them in colours.

some really special buttons in the shape of flowers and leaves.

My Bisto Tin of joy... This is a collection that my nana gave to me... i like Buttons and so did she!

Some Fabric i have that needs a project...

This duck one is actually blue and cream, but it looks black in this photo.

Lots of florial patterns!

Nice pattern fabric found in a charity shop for 49p!

Cream/Brown flowers and spotty black on white fabric. Some of this is being made into an Apron! My first sewing project for this blog.

Peacock Project update again!

I've been working quite hard on this so far.. although this is only the first of two.

The paint work is almost finished now, i have just got to get some gold to add to the highlights of the feathers.

I'm loving how they look on the wall, can't wait till i get them both up and in place in my kitchen!!

My yummy banana cake

This is my recipe book... which is starting to get some very yummy recipes in it (at last!)

First Yummy recipe from the book was a banana cake that a made for my gran for easter!

One of my projects is to try new foods to fill this book with.. i doubt i'll post everything i make, but now and again you may be lucky.

Peacock Project update

So update on the Peacock Project

As you can see the wire was very bent. I did try and straighten it out, but there was no chance of it happening.
You can see from this photo that originally they must have all been straight.
However i feel that the slightly curved version of it works quite well.

I feel the final outcome of this stage has turned out really well. I'm very pleased with it. Now to start on the painting of it. I have some paints ready, however couldn't get the original colours, so i'm going to have to mix a few together and hope that i can get them as close as i can.

Next update as soon as i get some painting done.

Peacock Project

While looking round a very nice old antique shop in Wickham, Hampshire (The Chesapeake Mill) I came across a pair of very nice, but very unloved Peacocks. I had to buy them and had ideas of getting them back to how they should look.

The Paintwork is quite battered, and all the wire on the feathers are bend and some broken.

I will update this project as i go along.

Coat Pins

A few coat pins.
Now i'm mid way on this project. Made a few to sell soon, but need to make some more.

Jewellery

A few bits i've made.
